  • Matt is an accomplished lawyer and businessman in the Boston area specializing in biotech/life sciences, healthcare, and technology law with over a decade of experience. He has had the privilege of working with S&P 500-listed global organizations, well-known biotech innovators, national diagnostic firms, biotechnology and healthtech startups, and healthcare institutions. He is experienced in representing small and large companies alike as in-house counsel and outside general counsel, providing legal guidance and proactive solutions to physicians, healthcare providers, biotech/life science companies, technology companies, healthtech companies, and businesses of all sizes.

    One of Matt’s most noteworthy career achievements was serving as counsel to a biotech organization pivotal in developing one of the major COVID-19 vaccines. He worked closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and corporate to act expeditiously during the global emergency while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This experience equipped him with a strong understanding of the vaccine development process and the ability to balance legal considerations with business objectives during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also the author of "Healthcare Technology Regulation in the US" published in 2020 in HealthTech: Law and Regulation. Matt started his career in-house as a staff attorney and business development manager for one of the largest cancer care providers in the world, where he helped executives, fellow attorneys, and leaders resolve legal and business matters with his specialized knowledge of corporate healthcare and biotechnology law. Matt is also privileged to have been named to the Massachusetts Rising Star list by Super Lawyers for healthcare law five years running (2019-2023). He is distinguished by exceptional legal research and writing skills, a keen attention to detail, and a strong ability to communicate complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal stakeholders to help them analyze the impact of material business decisions, including framing legal decisions based on a risk-reward analysis.
