  • Anya’s experience and expertise lie in a wide range of areas including corporate formation and fundraising, data privacy and security compliance, intellectual property rights and protections, and regulatory compliance across the healthcare, life sciences, technology, and healthtech landscapes. She guides her corporate clients through a wide variety of legal matters spanning from pre-formation through growth. She is experienced in advising clients regarding entity type and structure and navigating the foreseen and unforeseen legal matters that crop up at all stages of a company’s lifespan. Anya routinely assists start-up clients with equity issuance and fundraising efforts. Regardless of the structure and circumstances of a client’s fundraise or equity grant, Anya is able to help clients achieve their end goals. 

    Anya regularly assists healthcare clients in fields including medicine, nursing, social work, and dietetics, and has experience advising and assisting in the structuring of transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal anti-kickback, self-referral, and corporate practice of medicine laws. Her compliance-based experience also includes implementing internal company policies which ensure her clients comply with applicable laws and rules governing employment, privacy, and patient’s rights. Specifically, Anya has experience in drafting and assisting clients in implementing HIPAA and GDPR compliance plans. Anya also assists companies and health care professionals in responding to complaints filed with and investigations conducted by regulatory authorities.  

    Anya particularly enjoys assisting clients with protecting their invaluable intellectual property and finding effective ways to safeguard clients’ intellectual property rights. Anya is adept at understanding the intellectual property rights available to her clients and advising them with regard to the strongest protections and avenues for achieving and enforcing those protections. Anya has regularly advises clients about trademark protections available to their logos, company names, brands, and the like, and has successfully applied for and received multiple trademark registrations at both the state and federal levels on behalf of clients.

  • Growing up Anya studied classical ballet but always with an eye on becoming a lawyer in the future. In addition to her career in the law, she is passionate about animals and exercise, and is also an avid fan of both baseball and hockey.
